MEET LUCA FLYNN

Luca is a 4 times Scottish Champion and is currently a Scottish Internationalist.  Luca is a member of the Elite Boxing Group with Boxing Scotland and trains 4 times a week at the High Performance Centre in Glasgow.  Luca is dedicated to boxing and has an amazing future ahead however to maintain his commitment to the Scottish Team he is required to train with them which means travelling back and forward to Glasgow.  Also when called upon for International duty he is required to get himself to Glasgow and or to the airport etc.

All of the travel costs to and from Glasgow has to be met by the althlete.  Luca also has to purchase his own equipment for training.

We at the Lochee Boxing Club try to support our boxers and we have a small Development Fund to assist, however we have several boxers on the Pathway with Boxing Scotland and currently have about 80 boxers in our club so what we can provide is very limited.

We encourage boxers to try and gain individual sponsorship to support their development and to assist them and their families with the increasing costs.  In return often sponsors get invited by the boxers to any of our Boxing Shows and the boxers use social media to raise their own profiles and that of their sponsors.  We are happy to promote Sponsors within our club and our amazing facilities are often used for filming, photo shots, utilised by over 200 people weekly and Boxing Scotland do use our club to run training courses and selection processes.

By Sponsoring one of our boxers you are giving these young people an opportunity to be the best they can be.  We have had many success stories within our club and lets not forgot Scotland's Commonwealth Gold Medalist Sam Hickey was a Lochee Boy!  These young people should have the same opportunities regardless of their personal circumstances, family dynamic or financial situation.
